France Chimie's "Responsible Care" awards recognize outstanding and innovative Health, Safety, Environment and CSR initiatives by member companies. They are awarded by an independent jury of industry professionals.
Seppic is proud to have won this year's France Chimie Ile de France / Centre Val de Loire CSR Trophy for its commitment to the local communities of our industry in Madagascar.
Seppic's Lons site has been involved in Madagascar for many years, with the support of its customers, not only to share technical and scientific skills, but also to improve the living conditions of the communities of pickers working in the Centella industry.
The ongoing commitment of the Lons site between 2003 and 2022 has resulted in numerous achievements:
+ over 130 classrooms and libraries built, accommodating over 3,900 pupils
+ more than 170 teachers benefiting from capacity-building training
+ 1,600 school kits and scholarships distributed
+ over 2,000 pupils/year benefiting from nutritional programs
7 health centers supported
