SOLAMINE™ 129
Corrosion inhibitor
SOLAMINETM 129 is a composition of cationic and non-ionic surfactants in a glycolic solvent. It is an amber coloured clear liquid.
Features and compatibility
SOLAMINETM 129 is a water soluble corrosion inhibitor for deoxygenated crude / water lines met in the oil industry. It is effective in fresh water as well as in brines containing CO2 and / or H2S. It promotes the formation of a stable protective film on metal surfaces.
SOLAMINETM 129 is not compatible with anionic derivatives but is compatible with most other additives used in oil treatment like quaternary ammonium compounds, aldehydes, non ionic compounds, and amines.

Properties
SOLAMINETM 129 is soluble in fresh water and in salted water.
A 10 % solution of SOLAMINETM 129 in water containing 100 g /l NaCl remains clear and transparent.
SOLAMINETM 129 exhibits following properties:
- Effective against corrosion in water containing H2S and/or CO2
- Not affected by high temperature
- Non foaming
- Very low emulsifying tendency with hydrocarbons
Use information
SOLAMINETM 129 is generally injected as a neat concentrate in the range of 10 to 30 ppm.
If needed, it can be diluted with water available on the site, prior to injection.
SOLAMINETM 129 is a corrosion inhibitor for deoxygenated aqueous line and therefore well adapted for following use :
- In water injection system
- In hydrated oil production system
