SIMULSOLTM B 865 exhibits hydrotropic properties that are highly dependant on concentration in the given application. SIMULSOLTM B 865 with its intermediate alkyl chain length (octyl & decyl) is highly effective in elevating the cloud point of a solution containing non ionic surfactants. This is also true for system containing non-ionic surfactants as well as electrolytes; a small amount of SIMULSOLTM SL 8 is needed to clarify a cloudy solution compared to short or long-chain.
SIMULSOLTM B 865 is a highly effective solubilizing agent for essential oils and fragrances.
SIMULSOLTM B 865 can be used as mild cleansing products.It is moderately wetting and its cleansing action is comparable to the one of NaLES.
