Corrosion Inhibitors

Corrosion Inhibitors

Corrosion inhibitors are key additives to form chemically impermeable coatings and avoid the gradual destruction of materials by chemical reaction with their environment.

Corrosion inhibitors such as SOLAMINE™ 129 avoid the electrochemical reaction between the material and the oxidant that degrades useful properties of materials and structures such as strength, appearance and permeability to liquids and gases.

SOLAMINE™ 129 is a water soluble composition of cationic and non-ionic surfactants designed to protect metal surfaces immerged in oil or water lines. It is effective in fresh water as well as in brines containing CO2 and H2S.
