SEPPIC produces well-known glass frosting compounds sold under the trade-name of LERITE™.
LERITE™ glass frosting compounds are used for the decoration of perfume, wine and liquor bottles, lampshades and other glass decorative items.
LERITE™ is a fine white powder containing ammonium bifluoride and a number of special additives which activate the frosting bath. It dissolves very easily in hydrochloric acid (32-34% concentration), producing a dip which is initially highly viscous and white in color but becomes a thin liquid after being left to “mature” for 24 hours.
Easy to use and to handle
Reduced frosting time
Uniform and quick frosting for consistent productivity
Use of hydrochloric acid, less dangerous than hydrofluoric acid
Fluorides level reduction in frosting bath (around 50% less compared to a mixture 50/50 ammonium bifluoride and HF 55%)
LERITE™ glass frosting bath have an almost unlimited lifetime. The frosting dip should be topped up from time to time with LERITE™ to offset concentration loss.
The end product is 100% pure, there is no additional substance therefore the frosted decoration is not altered with time and there is no problem for recycling.
Convenient packaging in bags inside boxes of 25 Kg each.
