We launched SEPIGEL 305™ in the 1990s. It was the first liquid inverse emulsion polymer targeting the cosmetic market. It took the market by storm with its stabilizing and thickening properties combined with the fact it was anionic, pre-neutralized and efficient at acidic pH.
After the success of SEPIGEL 305™ and in order to better respond to clients needs in terms of physical forms, technical performance, skin feel and sustainability, other grades and ranges were developed such as SIMULGEL™, SEPIPLUS™, SEPINOV™, SEPIMAX™, SIMULQUAT™, SEPILIFE™, SOLAGUM™.

Inverse emulsion polymerization
Inverse emulsion polymerization, referred to as Hydro-Swelling Droplets technology, flourishes through a complete and powerful polymer offer, at the root of the revolutionized cold processable cream-gel textures and GELTRAP™. SEPIGEL 305™, SIMULGEL™, SEPIPLUS™, SEPINOV™, SIMULQUAT™, SEPILIFE™ provide a great versatility with multiple user benefits: thickening, stabilizing, large range of sensory experience, ease of use.
Polymerization by precipitation
Our technology on polymerization by precipitation and on modulating a polymer's hydrophobic character gave birth to SEPIMAX ZEN™ for a renewed emotional journey combined with outstanding suspending properties, clarity & high tolerance to salts & electrolytes.

The rheological properties are studied to better understand the textures that our polymers provide, their behavior in different packagings and during application on the skin.

We practice the tolerance tests with different in vitro models to prove their safety, even for the most fragile skin conditions such as immature epidermis (baby care), vaginal epithelium (intimate hygiene), abraded epidermis (irritated skin) and gingival epithelium (oral care).
We accompany our customers both in terms of regulation and cosmetovigilance. We provide complete files to meet the ever-increasing demands of the market.

One of SEPPIC’s Corporate Social Responsibility policies is to innovate sustainably by developing products and processes with at least one environmental or health benefit. For the polymer range, we provide several ecodesigned grades in order to help our customers formulate more sustainably.
All our polymer grades are cold processable, which helps to save energy and time for cosmetics manufacturing.

100% biobased gums sourced ethically and processed naturally, SOLAGUM™ AX and SOLAGUM™ TARA are cold processable and can be used alone or with our other polymers. They contain 100% natural origin content according to ISO 16128. They are COSMOS, ECOCERT and NaTrue approved and Vegan compliant. Both are readily biodegradable.
