SEPIFILM™ Classic is a range of HPMC-based ready-to-use film-coating agents.
The SEPIFILM™ Classic range comprises immediate release film-coating agents and gives an elegant finish to tablets.
Ready-to-use film-coating agent
The product formulations in the SEPIFILM Classic range are optimized for aesthetic film-coating. These are HPMC-based systems that combine a film-forming polymer with a binding agent and plasticizer. They are designed for aqueous film-coating but are also compatible for organic film-coating.
SEPIFILM™ Classic products are available in granular or liquid form and in white and a palette of other colours. They can also be coloured by combining with SEPISPERSE™ to obtain the desired colour.
Main benefits
Due to the HPMC base, SEPIFILM™ Classic products are easy to use and have many benefits:
- No dust is generated during preparation
- Easy to disperse in water: just 35 minutes of stirring no lumps and limited generation of foam - homogeneity guaranteed
- Rapid film-coating process with reduced spraying time (up to 20% dry matter)
Applications
The products in the SEPIFILM™ Classic range can be used for pharmaceutical applications and are manufactured in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) applicable to excipients.
All components comply with the applicable European, US and JP pharmaceutical regulations.
All the regulatory and quality documents required for registration are available on request.
Some products from the SEPIFILM™ Classic range are also authorised for dietary supplement applications.
