Summarize your career in a few lines
I obtained my degree in Chemical Engineering from ENSCM, which I completed with a MSc in Marketing and Digital at ESCP in Madrid. I started my career as Product Manager at a consumer product company, where I led product development, communication and digital marketing missions, for 2 years. Then, I joined Seppic in 2018, within the Beauty Care Global Marketing team. I held successively Inspirational Marketing Manager and Market Manager positions. Since 2023, I have taken over the Cosmetics Market & Digital Marketing team, which promotes ingredients on cosmetic markets, leads an annual communication plan and sets up a global digital marketing strategy.
Why did you want to do this job? Was it a job you wanted to do from an early age, an opportunity you seized, a passion?
My professional path has been shaped through wishes, opportunities and trust I've been given. During my engineering studies, I discovered the role of Product Manager and I was willing to develop my marketing and digital skills through my training and professional experience. Then I had the opportunity to join Seppic, where I reconnected with my initial engineering background and the exciting cosmetic industry. Gradually, I expanded my missions, until I reached this position, which I'm undeniably passionate about today!
What drives you in your daily life (passions, commitments, etc.)
What drives me is to visibly improve things with my team and Seppic collaborators. With digital marketing in particular, it's possible to develop strategies to improve the awareness of Seppic ingredients and acquire and convert potential customers while creating creative communication campaigns and finally to tangibly evaluate their impact and results. Very often, these projects can't come out without the work of several teams, and I love the collective intelligence and emulation, where ideas are shared and points of view confronted, to find solutions that serve the company.
What are you most proud of? What would you say is your greatest achievement?
I'm proud of my team, which is committed and willing. I'm lucky to manage a team of women who work in good spirits, who are keen to promote our ingredients in new cosmetic segments and who are driving the positive evolution of Seppic’s global digital ecosystem. For example, we built a new social media strategy together to promote the beauty care activity, with very encouraging results!
What has been your biggest challenge in your professional life?
I'm currently taking part in an exciting professional challenge with an ambitious digital project.. It's a collaborative project that requires us to reconcile business objectives with communication requirements, to evolve with new digital technologies and to support teams with new digital marketing skills. The challenge is at once technological, organizational and human, but I'm confident.
How has Seppic supported / accompanied you throughout your career?
Seppic has supported me in various ways throughout my career. I've had the opportunity to improve my digital marketing and management skills through a number of training courses. The confidence of my managers has also been key throughout my career, enabling me to commit fully to my missions, and this continues today. Finally, many of my colleagues are willing to share their expertise, know-how and desire to move forward, allowing me to learn regularly and creating a dynamic driving force.
If you had to give one piece of advice to a young woman starting out in her professional life, what would it be?
To a young woman who is embarking on professional life, I would give the following advice: surround yourself because you can't do it alone! Learn from your colleagues and the external partners you work with, take an interest in their experiences. Be as generous and share in the same way, to build a varied professional network, within and outside your professional activity. Finally, follow your interests, draw inspiration from professional figures and maybe even meet them, if you can!
