These ingredients have experienced such hype because they reassure consumers: they sound familiar, are considered healthy and cosmetic products appear more natural. Great burdock (Arctium lappa), also called slippery burdock, is a native plant whose root, young leaves and stems can be used as a wild vegetable. The root, similar to garden blackroot today, was often eaten as a vegetable in the Middle Ages, but is now only important in Japan, where it is called gobō (牛蒡 or ゴボウ), as well as in Taiwan (牛蒡, Niúbàng) or Korea, where it is called ueong (우엉). Furthermore, ueong tea is also available to drink in Korea. In Great Britain, dandelion and burdock is a traditional non-alcoholic drink that has been around since about 1265.2

EQUIBIOME™ is extracted from the inside of the roots of the famous great burdock (Arctium lappa), through a non-destructive process. It balances reactive skin for perfect harmony. The microbiota, together with the skin, acts as a shield that protects the body from external aggressions. Therefore, the balance of the microbiota is important to avoid skin disorders such as skin barrier disorders or excessive inflammation.

In vitro, EQUIBIOME™ balances the skin microbiota by acting as a peacekeeper for microbial communities and strengthens skin barrier function by controlling inflammatory processes.

Tested in vivo on subjects with very dry and/or sensitive skin, EQUIBIOME™ helps maintain the harmony of reactive skin by soothing the skin and significantly improving skin hydration. (Application concentration:1%).

Let EQUIBIOME™ help you achieve harmony for better and long-lasting skin comfort!

Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) belongs - like caraway or aniseed - to the umbelliferae family and is related to the water pennywort, which is also found in Germany and large parts of Eurasia. It is also known as tiger grass or Indian pennywort. The medicinal herb is used in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, but it is also consumed: In Asia, it is often made into an invigorating tea and drunk in the afternoon, as it is said to make one mentally alert and calm. In the kitchen, its kidney-shaped leaves are also used in salads and refreshing drinks.3

Our Centella asiatica extract TALADVANCE™ is sustainably grown in Madagascar and harvested according to UEBT (Union of Ethical Biotrade) standards. Its molecular content is very close to the natural composition of the plant, which is known for dermocosmetic applications due to its high content of triterpenes and polyphenols.

TALADVANCE™ balances and protects the skin and acts as a complexion perfector.

TALADVANCE™ significantly improves skin evenness and complexion after just 30 minutes of use (+58% radiance). It enhances the skin's luminosity even after 28 days for a lasting luminous effect.

The skin gains radiance, homogeneity and looks healthier!

Quinoa (Chenopodium Quinoa), is a herbaceous annual plant native to the Andes in South America, also called the "rice of the Incas". Quinoa grains contain no gluten and are rich in bioavailable minerals (iron, magnesium, zinc, manganese), vitamins, essential amino acids, etc. The plant has served the Andean peoples as a vital staple food for 6000 years. Quinoa is not a cereal, i.e. it does not belong to the grasses such as wheat, oats and rye. The small Inca grain is a goosefoot plant and thus belongs to the same plant family as beetroot and spinach.4

Applied to the skin, the quinoa extract ADIPOLESS™ ECO acts on lipogenesis and vascularisation, making it perfect for reducing dark circles and preventing the storage of body fat.

Wheat belongs to the plant species of the sweet grasses and the oldest bare wheat finds date back to the time between 7800 and 5200 B.C. This makes wheat, after barley, the second oldest cereal. With its spread to North Africa and Europe, wheat gained fundamental importance.

Wheat is the third most widely grown cereal (after maize and rice) and is a staple food (bread grain) for people in many countries. 5

Our CERAMOSIDES™ HP active ingredient is made from wheat from France (non-GMO). A patented purification process removes the wheat kernel and residual proteins (gluten, gliadins, glutenins) and makes it a gluten-free active ingredient.

CERAMOSIDES™ HP is a unique complex of plant ceramides identical to the ceramides found in the skin (ceramides 2, 3, 8).

CERAMOSIDES™ HP acts like a powerful anti-ageing protective shield. It moisturises and strengthens the skin's barrier function. It protects the skin from losing its elasticity and firmness. The pores are reduced and the skin texture is visibly refined. This unique patented complex is a naturally biomimetic product for perfect skin.

In addition to topical application  (
CERAMOSIDES™ HP) we also offer it as a nutritional supplement (CERAMOSIDES™ NUTRA) : For an optimal inside/outside result!

Spices are not to be missed out either: The Ceylon cinnamon tree or true cinnamon tree (Cinnamomum verum) is a plant species within the laurel family (Lauraceae) and is the source of Ceylon cinnamon (true cinnamon). Cinnamon is one of the oldest spices, said to have been used as a spice in India and China before 2000 BC. 6

SEPICONTROL™ A5 is an amino acid biovector active. It combines cinnamon extract with skin purifying properties and is used for acne-prone, oily skin as it reduces both the number of blackheads and the total sebum level.  SEPICONTROL™ A5 is therefore a sebo-regulator that addresses and fights the main causes of blemishes and acne.

Don't miss part 2 with halophytic edible plants, i.e. "sea vegetables".
