• Our business subsidiaries
SEPPIC began expanding abroad in 1989 when it set up SEPPIC Inc., Fairfield NJ. It then created SEPPIC UK Ltd , Hounslow, London, in 1995, SEPPIC China in 1996, SEPPIC Italia, Milan, in 1998 and SEPPIC GmbH in 2003.
The sales teams now account for 40% of the SEPPIC group's sales staff and are growing quickly. They will be supported by the creation of other units in areas which are of importance for us.
These subsidiaries promote all SEPPIC products in their respective markets in North America (SEPPIC Inc.), United Kingdom and Ireland (SEPPIC Ltd), Italy (SEPPIC Italia), mainland China (SEPPIC China) and Germany (SEPPIC GmbH).
Local support is provided by teams of technicians, experts in their respective fields, able to provide the expertise and support you require for your development work or when searching for technical or commercial solutions to ad hoc problems.
• Our production units
SEPPIC has two production subsidiaries in France and a new subsidiary in Antwerp, Belgium.
Each has its own range of speciality chemicals with production management systems controlling quality, productivity and total traceability.
As part of the Total Quality policy, Good Manufacturing Procedures are gradually being introduced in the various units.
SEPIPROD Castres (France)
This unit covers an area of 8 hectares and manufactures 600 different products with an annual output of 30,000 tonnes. Castres produces mainly surfactants and surfactant-based products (sorbitan esters, alkylpolyglucosides, amides, betaines, etc.).
Additional products include, for example, polymers, pharmaceutical and veterinary excipients as well as glass frosting materials and special products for optical fibre cables.
Givaudan-Lavirotte (Lyon)
The Givaudan-Lavirotte unit makes pharmaceutical and nutritional products and also provides services to the cosmetics industry. Its products are mainly used as ingredients for health products (mineral salts, nicotinates and undecylenates, protein surfactant complexes, etc.).
SEPPIC Belgium (Antwerp)
In 2000 SEPPIC opened a new factory on the Antwerp industrial estate (Belgium) which is part of an integrated chemical site.
It produces an extensive range of alcoxylates using up-to-date reactors equipped with an extremely efficient process control system and supplied directly with ethylene oxides and propylene. This manufacturing unit in Northern Europe complements and strengthens Seppic's international activities as a speciality chemical producer and considerably increases its ability to meet its customers' new quality and logistic requirements.
